If you want to come along in winter the answer is no.  You must contact our Head Coach Pat Wheeler to discuss the steps you need to take before you can join.

Are there any particular conditions on training at the army pool

All swimmers must be members of the Onkaparinga Swimming Club and have provided all the necessary paperwork before entering the Army base.  While very freindly / helpful the Security Guards at the gate will check you have identification before you are admitted to the base.

How will my child be inducted into the club. Will he / she be expected to be an accomplished swimmer?

It is recommended that new members first speak with the Head Coach and discuss the squad your child will start in.

Do you have a learn to swim program.

Well the answer is yes, however it is best to discuss your childs needs and where they are up to with the lessons they have been attending.  We do offer limited positions in what we call our Transition Squad which is made up of children who are learning basic drills and being given stroke correction.

Does the learn to swim program have a teacher in the water with the swimmers.

The answer is No.  We have a coach who coaches from the pool deck.  Swimmers are required to be confident and water wise before coming along to our squads to be further deveolped with stroke correction.  It is recommended that swimmers can swim 25m before entering our Transistion Squad.  Swimmers may swim from 1800m - 2500m per session.

Can we start any time in the year.

The answer is yes.  However the necessary paper work must be filled in and supplied a certificate of fitness and  the membership  fee.  Club training fees are charged monthly.

What are the training Fees.

Training Fees are currently $6.00 per session at the Army pool, this includes pool entry.  When training at the Adelaide Hills Swimming Centre the club fee is $2.50 plus pool entry which is set by the Adelaide Hills Swimming Centre yearly.  A monthly fee is $40 for 3 sessions per week for 4 weeks in the month over the winter months.   Over summer we charged $60.00 for up to 10 sessions a week.

It is recommended that swimmers training fees are paid on line.

Can we transfer from another club.

Yes you can.  We just need to know a few details and fill in paper work to support your transfer.  Your last club will need to sign a release or send a signed letter to support you transfer.

What are the ages of your swimmers.

We have swimmers from 5 years to 65+.  We welcome all age groups.

Can swimmers who have a disability swim with your club.
